== Project Stewardship & Governance ==
Jan-Alban Rathjen ("Jay Rathjen") serves as the Founding Steward and Project
Lead of the Specy Project. The Steward maintains the exclusive right
to manage project assets, including the authority to transfer all
copyrights, trademarks, and management responsibilities to a successor
legal entity or a non-profit foundation at their sole discretion, should
it serve the long-term sustainability and growth of the project.
== Attribution & Integrity (EUPL Art. 4) ==
Pursuant to the obligations of the EUPL, any distribution or communication
of the software (including providing access via a network/SaaS) MUST
retain this NOTICE file and all original copyright and attribution notices.
If the software is used in a web-hosted environment (SaaS), a visible link
to the legal and contributor information (e.g., via /info/legal) must be
maintained to ensure the "Communication to the Public" requirements
of the EUPL are met.

== Permissions & Trademarks ==
1. Copyleft: This software is subject to the Copyleft provisions of the EUPL.
Any derivative work distributed or made available over a network must
be licensed under the EUPL or a compatible license as listed in the
EUPL Appendix.
2. Trademarks: The name "Specy" and associated logos are trademarks held by
the Project Steward. Use of these names is permitted for factual
attribution and interoperability descriptions, provided it does not
imply official endorsement by the project.
3. Modular Extensions: Pursuant to Art. 9 EUPL and Recital 10, software
modules (plugins) that interact with the Specy core via defined
interfaces (Hooks/Providers) without modifying the core source code
are considered separate works and may be licensed under different terms,
including proprietary licenses.
